Paints and varnishes
Whether it is in wall paints for the interior or exterior, in lacquers or plasters, talc is not just a filler but a multifunctional extender, which can lead to numerous positive properties depending on the application.
In indoor and / or facade paints, in addition to optimum dispersion, it also has a high whiteness and a good opacity.
A surface matting and a good covering capacity are also a prominent feature in lacquers. The platelet-like structure of the talc allows optimum pigment distribution within the system. This structure also allows a barrier effect, especially in corrosion protection, and reduces cracks.
Fine cracks and “pinholes” frequently occur, however this is an undesirable side effect of surface plasters. Specific euroMinerals products can significantly reduce this negative effect.
